Be Sure To Use a Paver Sealer to Solidify the Joints

A simple and affordable yet effective way to add a new walkway anywhere on your property is to make one out of landscape brick pavers. These brick pavers are durable enough to drive a car on. Some people have created their entire driveway out of brick pavers. To create a walkway use a tape measure and mark the outline of the new path with environmental safe locator’s paint. Then grab a shovel and start removing dirt, grass, weeds or whatever in in the area. Note that you will be using a paver sealer to protect your walkway in the end so any plants or flowers will have to be protected. Once the area is dug out to the proper depth you will have to make sure a solid base is present, you might want to rent a vibrating compactor just to make sure. Lay the brick pavers out in whatever decorative pattern you like using baby sand to level the bricks. Once the new path is laid pour more baby sand onto the bricks and sweep it into the gaps between the pavers then blow away the excess with a leaf blower. You may want to leave the bricks site for a while until it rains a few times just to be sure they are not going to settle before filling the gaps with sand. Then it is time to apply a paver sealer that will solidify the sand joints and lock the walkway into place. Once the paver sealer is cured you will have a very solid and nice looking new landscape path to enjoy.
