PPI missold

April 28th, 2010 by admin

There are a number of situations which might give rise to missold PPI. Over the years, the mis selling of PPI have hit the market in a bitter way. This has been one of the most disastrous and problematic situations which have given rise to such scandals in the market. One of the biggest reasons for the mis selling of PPI is that the policies which the lenders sell to the borrowers do not meet the needs and the wants of the borrowers. This gives rise to such outrageous and disgraceful scenarios.

These lenders who sell the policies often concentrate on their profits and maintaining a decent margin for themselves. These policies are often found to increase the profit margins of the lenders instead of benefiting the borrowers. Sometimes, cases of mis-sold PPI take place because the policies are sold to the clients who will never be able to make a claim for them.

These policies are meant act as insurance coverage which will take care of situations such as accidents, health hazards like chronic diseases, sickness, illness and other crisis phases. However, if the borrower is not able to show a decent level of earning or if he has a fluctuating earning record, he might not be entitled to the particular insurance claim. Hence, if you are self-employed, a temporary short contract worker, an unemployed individual or even a housewife, it is highly disappointing to state that you might not be granted a PPI claim.

Hence, bottom line is if you are not financially sound, it is hard for you to claim a PPI. This is because the money and the interest that you have to pay to the lenders are huge. It will only reduce your accounts while it will add on to the accounts of the lenders.
