Just not eligible

May 6th, 2010 by admin

A lot of people who were ripped off by people they trusted where they banked are still reeling from the after-effects of the missold PPI scam.

Now they are running from pillar to post to try to get claims even though many know they were victims of junior bankers and mis sold PPI and the only way out for them right now would be if they take on the help of solicitors or claims companies.

PPI ideally should have worked for them but the problem was a large section of people did not fall under the purview of PPI. However, it was sold to them by bankers who wanted to create an impression on their bosses in the hope of moving up the career ladder and earning a pay increase.

When they went to put in for claims they were turned away and told they had not been eligible for PPI so how could they dare come and try to place claims. This is when it was realized that these people were not out to defraud anyone but had been forced into signing on the dotted line and made to take a PPI policy. These people had gone to the bank for a loan, mortgage or credit card but were told PPI was mandatory before they could get any which was far from the case.

Sadly those worst affected were from the financially vulnerable sections of society with no real fixed income to peak of. So when it turned out that premiums were also being added on to monthly installment payments, many of these people found themselves with money troubles.
